
BeeFree Activity Club is a social leisure and activity club designed to provide creative and engaging outlets for adults with learning disabilities. Based at the Barrington Centre , the club offers a lively, inclusive environment where members can build friendships, explore new interests, and take part in a wide range of fun and meaningful activities. Our goal is to support personal growth and wellbeing while fostering a strong sense of community and belonging.
BeeFree Activity Club offers a vibrant mix of activities designed to inspire creativity, build confidence, and encourage social interaction. Members can enjoy arts and crafts, games and puzzles, karaoke, music and dancing, jewellery making, bingo, themed days, and fun educational trips out. The club also supports members in accessing the local community, providing a well-rounded programme that’s both enjoyable and enriching.
Run by Mel, a dedicated full-time Shared Lives carer with over 14 years of experience. Mel brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to the role, with more than 15 years of teaching experience supporting children and adults with autism, learning disabilities, and mental health challenges. She is also a Mental Health Practitioner with Dorset Mind. Mel is DBS checked, a trained first aider, and fully qualified in safeguarding adults, ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for all who attend the club.
