Our theatre can seat a maximum of 220 people (sales capacity 208) and can also be converted to a 380 capacity standing only space, perfect for for live music events. With removable seating and a maple sprung floor, it has a very flexible layout and our most popular room.
With a full stage lighting rig and in-house sound system, the Theatre Hall can be used for any type of theatrical performance or event with a speaker or presentation. In addition, we have a fixed projector and cinema screen, making The Barrington Centre a popular venue for distinctive film events.
We have 10 wheelchair spaces, all with associated seating for companions. Within the same complex is Ferns Cafe and licensed Theatre Bar, both available for your event on request.

We have one of the largest stages to perform on in the area. It's the perfect blend of intimacy and vibrancy to add an extra dimension to your live music event. We can deliver the kind of audience experience you want to create. If it's standing-only there's room for 380.
Let your audience enjoy a cinema experience in the comfortable surroundings of our theatre. You won't find a more suitable setting for your cinema-based event. If you wish to present a public screening we can even work with you to acquire the appropriate council licence.
Our theatre is perfect for a wide range of activities, from touring shows to sporting events. We are particularly keen to work in partnership with local commercial promoters, and a discount is available for promoters who can commit to multiple bookings throughout the year.
The Longham Room can hold up to 50 people sitting in rows (theatre style) or 20 in a conference room set-up. With maple flooring and improved lighting, this room is also used by the Town Council as a Committee meeting room.
The Hayes Suite can hold up to 35 people. This room doubles up as our theatre dressing rooms. It can also be split into two via a retracting wall to facilitate both male and female dressing rooms.
The Hampreston Room is a great space for any meeting for up to 40 people or fitness classes. With a sprung wooden floor, this room is our bespoke space for dance activities.
A small meeting room, our Stapehill Room has a large conference table that can seat up to 10 people – ideal for workshop sessions and training days.
Ferns Theatre Bar is a very comfortable room which can hold up to 40 people for a board meeting. This room is very popular with customers who are hosting family functions.
