First Time Visit

    Home First Time Visit

    Before you arrive

    Before you arrive for your performance you should have received an email with your tickets attached with the event details you can either print them off or present the email on your device as proof of purchase. If you purchased from the box office, you would have received a hard copy that you will need to present.

    Your arrival

    At the Barrington our foyer doors (accessible entrance) will open one hour before the show to allow you to use the box office and bar.(unless the centre is open at normal hours ).

    Once inside there are toilets available and a seating area where you can wait in the bar we recommend purchasing your drinks when you arrive and placing an interval order to prevent queuing in the interval as it can become quite busy.

    At the Barrington we will scan your tickets when you first enter the theatre and our front of house team will direct you towards your seats.

    Visiting the box office

    The Barrington box office is open 9am till 4pm Monday to Friday but will also open 1 hour prior to events starting to allow you to purchase tickets. You will find the box office to the right of the foyer.

    If you need to collect tickets this is where you will need to collect them from. Let the front of house team know when entering and they will direct you if you need assistance.

    Food & drink

    Fern’s Bar is the place where you can purchase cold and alcoholic drinks with a selection of snacks and tubs of new forest ice cream. The Bar is open before the show, during the intervals and closes after the show unless otherwise stated.

    We request that you do not bring alcohol, glass bottles/containers from outside the venue into the building

    Access

    You will find the accessible entrance at the front of the Barrington Centre. There is a disabled toilet in the foyer and one to the left of the theatre. In the theatre spaces for wheelchairs are in the front row of seating. Please make the Barrington Team aware if any assistance is needed during your visit.

    Toilets

    Toilets are located to the right of the theatre there are female, male, disabled toilets and baby changing facilities available.

    Enjoying your interval

    Most shows at the Barrington will have an interval unless stated otherwise. The interval will usually be 15-20mins during this time the bar will be open to collect your interval drinks or purchase refreshments. A buzzer will ring to announce to return to your seats for the next part of your performance.

    Food and drink are allowed into the theatre unless otherwise informed by the event staff.

    When the show finishes you may exit though any theatre door making your way through the foyer where the main exit will lead you outside.

    There is also the Ferns café that is open Tuesday till Friday closing at 2:30 and Saturdays finishing at 2 pm that offer a selction of hot and cold drinks and light bites to eat.
